Did you change the capacitor when you changed the fan? If you didn't you need to. And that capacitor is a dual one running the compressor and fan. So make a diagram of it what wires go where the area is real tight and some wires are the same color. You might make labels to be a little easier. Also get the same size capacitor when you change it.

Hello
There are a few things here that could be wrong.
1 Fan motor start capacitor is bad.Silver battery looking device on side of fan.Remove and replace with a new one.

2 Contactor for fan motor is pitted or burnt .If this is the case you will need a new contactor.

3 Fan motor is bad.Check top two before assuming this.
Check all fuses and circut breakers also.

My heat pump fan will not turn

First, with the unit not running, check to make sure the fan spins freely. Next check the capacitor. You can do that with a multimeter or look at it and if it looks swollen then it is most likely bad. Replace it with one of the same rating. If the capacitor is good then use an ohmmeter to check the fan motor windings. Also check the condition of your contactor and make sure the ciruit breakers are closed and the fuses are good. The breakers should be off before you check the capacitor, fan motor, and contactor.

Fan isn't turning

turn the power off, take the cover off the top and try to spin it. If it spins hard then it was the motor. If it spins easy the the capacitor is probably bad which
would cause the fan to go bad.

Usually this can be a dual capacitor which also controls the compressor. Sometimes just replacing
the capcitor can do the trick, if not then the worst
is that you will have to replace the motor and still use the new capacitor

I have a cple18-1c at my home. it is making a

Fan motor is out or possibly the capacitor to the fan is bad. Would have capacitor replaced first then replace the motor if the capacitor didn't solve you problems.

Good Luck on repairs

Compressor fan motor runs backwards

Most likely a bad motor or bad capacitor. I would check the capacitor first as this is probably a $20 fix. The fact that it runs in the correct direction but at a reduced speed really leans hard to the capacitor.

Good Luck and hope this resolves things for you. Let me know.

New motor runs but doesn't blow air through the registers

Is the blower wheel turning? Did you by chance have to remove the motor from the blower wheel to work on it? If you did, did you put the blower wheel back on in the correct direction of air flow? Also, did you put the correct capacitor back on the unit so it can get up to the required rpm's? These are things that you will need to check for. If the motor is running and the blower wheel isn't and the wheel is tight on the shaft, then you will have to replace the motor. The brushes may be bad on the unit and it's not turning the shaft. Hope these ideas help.

Motor bussing sound system slow

have a look at the fan on the processor if its running slow it will be making that noise so your processor is over heating and in turn making your pc run slow. replace this fan now. if your processor overheats too much it will burn out.

Goodman split unit that heats instead of cools

Hi, Could be a run capacitor on the fan motor. They usually swell up and or leak when they go bad. If not, the only real way to test them it with a specific capacitor tester. A new capacitor would be cheaper. Make sure that the outside unit is disconnected from power before opening it up, try to spin the fan blade by hand. If it doesn't spin freely it may need oiled if possible. See above solution. Your problem is the fan motor though so if this don't do it, It will have to be replaced. If this helps, Please rate my solution. Thanks, kstfas
