Alright this ones a doozie, I dont want to rule anything out but when I try the exact same connect with Xbox 360 it works flawlessly and when I take my ps3 downstairs with the same wire and hook it up to my 42 inch TV, I works first try every time. I cannot figure out what is causing this. Last thing, whenever I do get it to work; which is one out of 20 times, The slightest touch to the monitor or the ps3 will cause the signal to drop. However that is not the case when using the Xbox.

ok, i got it working... Ok...your problem is probably that when you're using it on the HDTV...you have the resolution set to an HD one (720p, 1080i, 1080P). A normal TV cannot display these. While it's connected to the HDTV,Before you connect it to your normal tv, you have to switch it back to 480i or 480p otherwise, your regular tv wont show a picture. So go to settings, display settings, and uncheck 720p, 1080i, 1080p. It will ask you if these are the settings you choose (and it's going to look funny on your HDTV) Accept the settings and turn it off. When you connect it to your Regular TV, you should now see a picture. Hope this helps!

Hi; I had the same problem. I know that sometimes devices require you to perform some type of '10-30 second' "hold" of one or some of its buttons in order to 'reset' the device, so to speak. So, having said that, try this:
1) Turn your monitor off (no green light) but leave it plugged in.
2) Leave it off for about 10 seconds.
3) Hold the [2] button on your monitor (the one to the immediate LEFT of your monitor's POWER button).
4) While holding the [2] button, now press and HOLD your POWER button.
5) Wait for your image to appear and STAY onscreen for about 5 seconds, then release both buttons.
6) Your monitor should retain its onscreen image.
Hope this helps! Good Day to all!

If there is a flashing led on front of the monitor, that indicates a fault condition.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the Monitor goes on protection there are only two possible causes.
1
The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges
accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the
main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection
circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or a
broken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting
the flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then the
monitor will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,
sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
Common
faults that can occurr suddenly are a blown capacitor on power board,
the inverter board powering up backlight lamp has blown, or a fault on
main lcd controller board.
check also the video cable, if the cable
is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state
because of the video cable.
Check connectors, try moving the video cable, and if the cable is not built in, then also try a replacement cable.

Go to the setup menu on the LCD panel by pressing button 1 on the front. See if there is an option to reset the lcd to factory settings. Reset it and report if it helps not.
