MP3 Player Won't Turn On

I can;t turn it on. MY\y computer doesn't recognize it anymore, though it did yesterday. I just unstalled the newest firmware yesterday. None of the other solutions like holding down the power button work.

It is most likely the built in chargeable battery has failed. They are not replaceable and therefore you unfortuanaely need a new player

Having trouble getting my Rio Forge to work

Mine wasn't recognising the player through the USB cable so I followed Mantraguy's instructions to reload the firmware. Make sure though that you hold down the menu key before you switch on the player. Then it shows upgrade and you can reload the firmware. Of course you will lose all the songs on the internal memory but if it isn't working anyway.

good luck

Creative Muvo V100 is not working

My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in July 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.05.01.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Urgent!!!!!

If your PC still recognizes the player, you can try to drop the firmware update onto the players mass storage area. Once you disconnect the player from the USB cable, the player should begin to update the firmware.

If this doesn't work, let me know. I can look into an alternative method for fixing your player.

Zen Won't Turn On

Does your computer still recognize it? If so then try upgrading the firmware. You can download the latest firmware from Creative.com. If the computer doesn't recognize it, I'm afraid your player is a brick.

Another Firmware/Recovery Mode problem

Try this: My computer --> Control Panel --> Portable Media Devices Is the Zen showing up? If not, your Zen has a bad motherboard and you will need to take it to a technician to have it replaced, or find a motherboard and do the replacement yourself.
