Question about Toshiba Satellite M35-S456 Notebook

Toshiba satellite M35-S456 can't load user, reboots again & again

When I start up my laptop(Toshiba Satellite M35-S456, OS Windows XP Home Edition) it loads to the User Login page. I select myself, and my settings begin to load (I see my wall paper and icons, but the computer is still loading). Then, the computer aborts loading, flashes a blue screen with far too much writing to be read in 1.5 seconds, and restarts itself. This happens again and again, with either user. At the User Login page, I can select "Shut down computer," but the computer continues to short circuit (so to speak) and reboot itself again and again. It does this both with battery and outlet power. I can turn it off manually. I tried reinstalling the OS to no avail. I tried new memory, no dice. I tried a new hard drive--didn't help. Tried both new memory and new hard drive--still no help. Can this laptop be fixed, or is it simply time for a new one? What could potentially be wrong with it?

Toshiba satellite m35-s456 my computer lights come on but it will not boot up?

The same thing happened to me today. I think it is the power supply connection to the mother board. I had to replace the motherboard 2 yrs ago with the same symptoms. I can reboot the computer 20 times and once the laptop will boot-up OK. But most of the time the power button will come one but the screen is blank. I'm not sure if I am going to get a new laptop or just replace the motherboard...again...

Toshiba satelite m35-s456 special edition

Is the blue line appears always or only in windows? If the lines appear only within windows then there could be driver related problem.
To make sure try to enter the bios when starting your laptop. If you cal see the blue lines there, then there is a chance that you have lcd problem
