Maytag washer LAT9406AAE overflows and will not advance through any cycles

Check the small hose that goes up to the water level control. Check and blow out any water in it. Replace if it is loose or any broken fittings are in the line. IT works by building up pressure in the line as the water rises and activates a switch that is set by the water level you select. IF it doesn't sense the pressure it will allow the water to keep running. Unless it switches off when full there will be no further progress in the cycle.

I have whirlpool top loader automatic 6th sense washing machine.it shows PE error when switched on.

Hi,

In my research, the PE error relates to the fill level of the washing machine. The fill level sensor is a pressure operated device. There is a sealed air line that goes from the bottom of the tub to an air pressure sensor. As the tub fills, it compresses the air in this air pressure sensor. When the tub is filled to the level selected on the dial, the sensor stops the fill cycle.

This air line can be plugged or the sensor itself can be faulty. This air pressure sensor is usually located near the top of the tub just under the top cover. If you can locate it, disconnect the air line from the pressure sensor and blow through it - it may be blocked by lint and soap from several washing cycles. There may be a filter in this line to help prevent this blockage. But the filter may have become blocked itself.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Washer overflowed during wash cycle

Hi, The first thing to check is the pressure switch hose. It goes from the pressure switch in the control console down to the airdome on the tub.
If it gets pulled loose, gets a hole in it, or gets clogged with lint or soap scum, the pressure switch will never sense the water level and turn the water valve off.
If the hose is ok, then you probably have a failed pressure switch.

GE model number WWA7070VBLHA machine will not

first, check for any obstructions in the tub to pump then from the pump to the house drain, including and kinked hoses,if the washer senses any back pressure from these it won't drain or spin, also check the pump inside to make sure there are no impellers broken or missing on the pump or debris inside the pump

Try a cleaning detergent/descaler. some liquids do cause problems. Softner is 1, it tends to gel in the pressure chambers in machines. This in turn causes many problems.

GE washer Model S3600DOWN will not turn off water. overflows WHY?

suspect water level control they call it a pressure switch
there is a quarter inch line that runs from tub to pressure switch that line can sometimes plug requiring line be removed from pressure switch and cleared
http://www.repairclinic.com/Washing-Machine-Top-Load-GE-Style-Appliance-Diagram
this web page shows a breakdown of commom top load ge washing machine level control is located in top panel
before opening top panel unplug washer from wall
if clearing line does not work level control will probably need to be replaced suggest take picture or draw out
where three wires are hooked before removing part or
change 1 wire at a time to avoid mixing up wiring

Help

hi there,

sounds the pressure switch is not sensing the water level, so the machine thinks it's still filling. check the pressure switch and pressure switch cable. it's most likely just the cable itself. the pressure switch is located behind the drum and accessible through the back panel.
