Do you know how to override the Epson RX500 printer? It suddenly will not recognize any of the replacement cartridges when it was working fine an hour before. I've tried to unload and reload them, but that doesn't help. The red light is on and I cannot press the setup button or any button on the printer itself. I believe there's a way to override it through the computer?

Took cartridges back to Tesco Customer Service desk - they didn't quibble even though I didn't have a receipt (Tesco is written all over the packaging and cartridges!) they offered me money back or a replacement. The lady behind the counter advised that her son tells her that there are just bad batches of cartridges and swapping them often sorts the problem. I took another pack and put them in the printer and Hey Presto - printer works just fine and dandy.
This is a common error message whenever you use a third party ink on an EPSON printer, one recommendation is that you can call epson for support to get a new one and ask if you can get a printer that uses the same ink for your cx3700- problem is on the hardware itself already. printer needs replacement.
This may or may not work but you can try taking the toner cartridge out and carefully shaking it, (don't spill it on yourself) then re-install it and see if you've shaken enough toner loose to fool the printer. If so it may make a print for you if this doesn't work you have no option but to replace the toner cartridge.
CARTRIDGE OUT OVERRIDE
From the main menu on the printer, press "right arrow" to "System Setup", then press "Select" (green button with check mark)
Press "right arrow" to "Print Quality" and press "Select"
Press "right arrow" to "Replace Supplies" and press "Select"
Press "right arrow" to "Override Out" and press "Select"
If "stop at out" is selected, the printer will stop printing when a cartridge reaches the recommended replacement point. If "Override Out" is selected, the printer will continue printing when a cartridge reaches the recommended replacement point. The factory default settig is "Stop at out".
Use the override supplies out feature on the printer. If the error still stops the printer from working put in the old hp chip and again use the override out setting. GO TO >system setup>print quality>replace supplies>override out,
