Could Sony DVP-NS400D DVD player be enabled to play DivX format videos with subtitles?

- Yes, this is an older model most probably before release of the DivX format and there is no info on the manual that it supports DivX. I asked the question if it may be upgraded for DivX support via a fix etc.(i.e. recorded on a CD or DVD)?Clarification Request

I don't think its firmware can be upgraded for divx dvds.
Nearest Sony Service can confirm my opinion.

I think its an old dvd player model and you can check its specifications in instruction manual for divx format support.
