could you please help
Your console is over heating. Two things one you have to do the will help it never happen again. What you must do is replace the thermal compound between heatsink and processor. Another thing that will help in a big way is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5eMVktXnoo which you can find for sale on ebay.

Re: 3 red lights on my x-box 360
When someone say that his/her Xbox is having 3 red lights
problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than
it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before
acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will
have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's
warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to
wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your
Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.
My xbox 360 got RRoD and died on me and I brought it back to life! This is after I sent it back to Microsoft 5 times and each time the fix was temporary. Finally, after a lot of research I found this website that gave me an xbox 360 permanent rrod fix.

I'm sorry to hear this happend, and I am sorry there is nothing else I can tell you, this happend to me and i got my xbox 360 shipped out in 1-day and back in 3-days.
Please don't forget to rate, Thanks!
you have what is called "The red ring of death", you can do a couple of things (in this order):
1) Turn off the xbox 360 console, let it rest for an hour or two. If the red light is still there, then do step 2.
2) Wrap a towel completely around the xbox and leave it on for one hour. This will overheat the xbox and somehow gets it to start working again, but only for a short time of maybe a day or two. But, if this doesn't work, then do Step 3.
3) Go to the Xbox website and talk to a customer service agent, tell them your problem. If you are still under warranty, then they will ship you a box to send your xbox to them, it will take a couple of weeks before a brand new xbox 360 is shipped to you.
But before you do step 3, try step 1 first, because temporary red lights happen quite often, so just let it rest for a little while for now.
No! The red light of doom! your hard drive is shot or something. im really sorry same thing happend to a couple of my buddies and they just had to get a new one. they did a big thing about this on fox news. sorry bud! Hey im also a with sony tech support but i know alot about 360s so maybe i might be able to help. My personal email is Nateskate140@gmail.com. so i might be able to give my full support in helping you over the coumputer.
Microsoft should solve this problem its either a hard drive malfunction or a problem with the cooling on the xbox 360 console. the same thing happened to my system after not using it for an extended period of time
Your system is headed for the dreaded red ring w/ three red rings. My system started doing the same thing just before this happend. If you have a service plan with it i would suggest returning it and getting a new one.
I tried all the there little tricks as well deleted everything off my harddrive all that good stuff i think it made mine worse. Cuz after all that i turned it back on and bam three red lights and no picture or sound.
