I have a Reddy Htr Mod 60D kerosene-diesel heater. I need to know how to fine tune the air fuel adjusting screws on the back right by the air intake filter, and which one is fuel and air. The heater...

You only adjust the one with the hole in the center. The other one is where you install an air pressure guage (0-15psi). The pressure setting is listed on the label of the heater (somewhere between 3-6 psi depending on the heater. All this is doing is controlling the air pressure/flow to the eductor that draws fuel out of the tank. Let me know if your label is wore off and don't forget to rate the answer and leave testimonial.

Can i run diesel fuel in my m50a reddy heater

Yes you can run Diesel in this heater but you will have to turn the pressure up on the back of the pump.
You want the nose cone to be a good glowing orange and with Diesel you may need more air pressure to achieve the proper burning of the heater with the least amount of fumes.

Master Reddy 30,000 btu heater put out nasty fumes.

Sounds like it's not getting enough air to fuel mix, check your air inlet line for breaks or just put a new one on for a couple bucks. any fuel line thats the right diameter will work, got mine from auto zone.

One of two things, a high heat limit control or the flame sensor, also check your air line that runs to the heater nozzle could be cracked, not enoughair to fuel mix will make it burn dirty.

I have just purchase a kerosene fan force (reddy) space heater ,we use it in a very drafty garage, but the strong smell of kerosene fumes are more then we can stand.we have tried scent additives but nothing...

Try running it outside where the oxygen level is 21%. Carbon Monoxide will kill you The smell might be the product if incomplete combustion CARBON MONOXIDE, or the fuel line pressure needs to be adjusted.

If you still get the smell the unit may defective. If you want to try adjusting the fuel line pressure, you will need a low pressure gauge 0-15 psi.remove a plug from the heater and set the pressure at the documented pressure, the other plug with the hole in it is the adjustment.
