my dell inspiron 1525 touchpad is not scrolling even though i hav tried different versions of the dell touchpad drivers provided by dell on its website.Drivers provided by dell such as R180045 (manufacturer -Alps) does not even install. One of the drivers i got, that was of 12.8 MB (R155586:manufacturer-Synaptics) .I installed it but still the scrolling does not take place.
-   i had to re load vista becasue my hard drive broke and i had to buy a new one. The differenced i have noticed so far are that i cannot use the scrollers on my laptop (which is very frustrating!) and my "switch between windows" mode is different.

My dell computer touchpad is unresponsive at low temperatures. I live in San Francisco, and in the winter I need to heat up my computer with my hair dryer to get the touchpad to work. 20-30 seconds is about right, if it's not enough I shut down the computer and blow dry it some more. I don't need to do this in the summer. This seems very odd and would like to get this fixed.
