HP OfficeJet 210 All in one Carriage jam

Have a printer that is several years old and is now continually saying "carriage jam." If I turn it off and on it makes strange noises but then will usually go through. Is there a replacement part? Some part to clean or oil? Help! Thanks

Nothing you can service on the printer.

Hp officejet 6210 all in one, carriage jam

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Carriage Jam on my HP Officejet 5610v All-in-One printer

If I move the carriages to the center of the bar they slide on (would be the center of the paper) and close everything it seems to re-load, I've had to do this several times over the last few years and so far it always works

If its clicking something is jamming the carriage or the timing could be off.

It should be looked at by a technician to get it adjusted properly.
