The small tube is wrapped with little bristles and it appears to be intact. I believe it penetrated the radiator. Is this the bottom of the radiator or is it the transmissin cooler? Coolant is leaking pretty fast.

Get the coolant pressure tested, its definitely leaking coolant. You will need to get the coolant running line.

Pressure test will help you to know from where exactly coolant/refrigerant is getting leaked.

How to check for leaks of antifreeze/in 97 expedition smell of antifreeze

Hi Sharlene,so you smell antifreeze.Raise your hood and check your antifreeze over flow container, you should have a l and a h mark on it,high and low.If low, then it's leaking somewhere, look at the radiator cap and overflow hose for leak, look at over flow container for leak from hose going to it from radiator, look all over engine, look at top and bottom radiator hoses and clamps for leaks,if leaking there, tighten clamp with flat head screw driver,if no leak is found, get under vehicle and see if any antifreeze is visible, maybe water pump, look on ground for leak and follow, check floor board on driver side, heater core could be bad, check hoses going to heater core from engine firewall.

Loosing antifreeze and I can't find the leak oil is clean and exhaust looks OK not white smoke. Hvae a 91 Grand Marquis

check the carpet under the heater core in the interior. Check the radiator overflow bottle--sometimes they get a small crack at the bottom and weep out coolant. Check for any heater hose or other coolant hose clamp to be weeping coolant onto hot exhaust parts. The coolant will evaporate and you'll never see a puddle. The best time to check is just after engine shut down when coolant temp and pressure is highest.

You didn't mention how many miles are on the vehicle but your symptom points to a water pump with failed seals. They don't often fail at less than 100K but they can.

There is a small hole at the bottom of the pump housing that allows coolant to leak out if the seals fail to prevent the coolant from ending up inside the engine and damaging it.

Its gettin hot sometimes it blows all water out the over flow bottle it dont do it all the time just sometimes tryed changing thermostait no better take the themo out does fine

you have a small head gasket leak most likely and it can be tested with a 15 dollar tester from most parts stores. otherwise check the radiator pressure cap to see if it's cracked and see if the tube from the radiator tothe puke tank /overflow tank has a hole in it. also check that the fan is working correctly and that you have replaced the antifreeze, most antifreeze is only good for 2 years before it wears out. As well the water pump shaft could have broken and maybe slipping as the engine warms up, look to see if you see water comming out of the bottom of the water pump weap hole.
