So when I tried turning it back on it lite up and said wait.. then it just turns off and won't work. I tried changing batteries but that still won't help. This did not seem to work on it. I have the warranty on the mp3 player but no receipt so I am not able to return it. Any other ideas?

I'd suggest you to plug it in to your pc, and format it. Tell us if it works.

Just plug it in to read the files, and delete all songs and stuff.

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SVMP010.PDF Check page 32 - is the hold function on? Check page 31 - carry out a reset if it will let you. Check the notes on page 28 - maybe this was the cause of the problem. if it doesn't let you reset, then you may have to try formatting it from the PC as a last resort - this is not recommended. Is there still a warranty on the player? Hope this helps :)

Did you try to format it from a PC? what was the result? also if you plug it into a PC what message comes up?

    :)

What operating system are you using on your PC? If windows XP then plug in the player, open "My computer" then right click on the player icon and select "Format".

Panasonic recommend strongly that you don't do this. But it may work. You might need to reflash the player afterwards with it's firmware package.

I would recommend getting it serviced first, as there are all sorts of problems that could be caused.

Sorry no "quick-fix" available. If you decide to try formatting, I would appreciate knowing the result.

    Good luck :)

Plug your MP3 player into the computer. When the window pops up select "Open folder to view files" open the file containing the songs and delete the songs you no longer want by selecting the song, right click and select "delete" from the list. It will delete the song from the player.

Dont know how to delete old songs

That's fairly easy actually, just connect it to your computer and open "My Computer". Then select the drive your MP3 player is located (like mine is E:, but yours may vary). If you look around, you'll find the music folder (or if in MSC, it's in the root folder). Just locate the song and right-click and delete.

Use Windows Media Player 11 to delete those songs off of there - the Rhapsody downloads won't work after the 30-day trial has expired anyways:

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder
