I hate to ask the obvious here, but do you have a microphone connected?

If so, double-click on the little volume icon on your taskbar. (Speaker)

Make sure the Line In volume is turned up and the Mute box isn't checked.

Password...I dont know my password

If it's been awhile since you used Skype to communicate with friends abroad or family back home, you might draw a big blank when it's time to type in your Skype username.

Skype requires a username and password from users to log in to the service.
You choose this username and password when you register for a Skype account.

By using Skype's recovery options and the email address used to register the account, you can retrieve your Skype username with ease.

Navigate to the Skype homepage online at
Click "Sign In."

Click "Forgotten your Skype Name?" under the Skype Name entry box.

Type the email address you used to register the account in the box that appears.
Click "Get Skype Name."

Skype will email you a link to that address to recover your username.
Click on the link inside the email sent by Skype.

A page will open displaying your username.
Change your password in three easy steps.

This helps to keep your new password secure.
You will need to fill in your email address.

We'll email you a temporary code.
Use the code to change your password on our secure website.

How do people phone me if i have not a phone number?

If you have a computer and internet then you can use a software like 'Skype'.
Download Skype and install it. If your friends have Skype, they can call you through Skype. Both need to be online with Skype. Your computer should have a microphone.

I cant herar when I talk with my friend with the skype. I tested my headphones. they are ok. What is the problem in my skype?

you most likely checked all the obvious settings, checked, volume control, within Skype it is not on mute.
also within Skype, you can also perform audio and video testing, to confirm the issue is not from your end.
If this still fails, and you can not hear the other party ... the issue may be at their end. They will need to check their settings and skype settings.

Go to control panel > speech and audio devices > select audio > select recording > select advanced > Select Microphone (make a tick mark) adjust the volume just above middle level. and close it. OK. Now the problem should be solved ! Note: If your skype supports audio configuration run that . Also remember to use two channel audio if your system supports 6-channel audio onboard.
