Question about Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver
The Braun 8000 series shavers are a very good value, especially now since they're now 2 generations behind (there was a 9000 series and now Braun has changed their numbering system--the new 7000 is now the top of the line). I've got an 8000 series and find the shaving quality pretty much the same as the 9000 series that I sampled.
Eventually the batteries will wear out and require replacement. At that point, you either do it yourself or just get a new shaver (the cost of fixing is not worth it). If yours is still working well, and you like using the cleaning base (it's really not that necessary), your best bet is to locate a used 8000 series shaver set on eBay, preferably with a beat up shaver and good condition cleaner included. You might be able to get one rather cheap and if the shaver is in bad shape it may have usable spare parts.
