Question about Swintec 7040 Typewriter
I KNOW WHERE THE MARGIN RELEASE KEY IS BUT IT'S STILL NOT RELEASING IT AND IT ACTS LIKE IT IS STUCK. DO I NEED A NEW TYPEWRITER? AND ALSO IF I TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON IT WILL ACT BETTER FOR LIKE ONE TIME THEN GETS STUCK AGAIN!
Chances are, you need to clean and put a light oil on the silver rod that the carriage moves on. it will get dry and you will lose your left margins. pretty common on these model and others.

Return to the L. mar. press and release the mar. rel. key, backspace to the place you want the margin press L. mar. key.
