I bought an ink cartridge from staples and i thought it came with the correction tape but it doesn't. I don't know what product I need. When I look at the correction ribbon that staples sells i don't see how it will fit in the typewriter!

Here is a link for the correction tape you need from staples. It simply snaps under the print ribbon you already purchased

IBM Wheelwriter correction tape will not lift off print. New correction tape installed.

You may have a very old L/O or ribbon. The ribbon may be a non correctable the knob must be orange, yellow or violet. Not blue or red.

IBM Correcting Selectric II; correction ribbon frozen in front of typing ribbon.

Move the grey lever on the R. side of the carrier to the R. and remove correction tape, try the machine, if it seems to work OK install a new correction tape.

Correction tape on wheelwriter 3

The correction cassette snaps on the bottom of the ribbon. The two little "feet" on the cassette slide over the small tabs on the ribbon and the ribbon clips on.

Hope this helps
