Question about Computers & Internet
SOURCE: downgrade to xp from vista
I suggest completely formatting and installing XP. Windows is notoriously bad at upgrading and downgrading from an installer ran in windows.
Step by step instructions on installing windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316941
If your laptop came with Vista business or Vista ultimate, you can downgrade to XP professional for free. You can call Microsoft customer service and try to request an XP install CD. When you register it, select "activate by phone" option and give the customer service rep your vista product key.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
