Question about Hampton Bay 54 In. Flemish Pewter Ceiling Fan with Heater

Remote control problem

I puchased the demo model at Home Depot, of course, with no instructions. The remote control has 4 toggle switches in it which are set, but I cannot find the toggles on the fan. I'm assuming that they are set differently. I either need to know what the default setting is or where to find them on the fan itself. Any ideas?

The remote "reciever" is seperate from the fan. It is black in color with 6 wires, one being the antenna. It is wired together inside the fan canopy. If you do not have the reciever then you will have to buy a new one. You can purchase just the reciever, but you will need your remote to match it with

You can use a remote from Home Depot, where the fan was bought. Reverse will have to be done manually at fan.

How can i find a replacement remote control for hampton bay ceiling fan model 54shrl

That is a store brand for Home Depot so I would start there. If it is a built-in remote, then a universal remote won't work.

I'm having the same problem with the remote to the ceiling fan. You might want to go to Home Depot or lowes and get a new remote

Hunter ceiling fan remote will not turn off light it just dims the light

Try this. Remove power from the fan. Remove batteries from the remote. Press butttons on remote (might be stuck). Apply power to the fan. Install batteries in the remote and try all functions. If this doesn't work, the remote may be defective or the remote receiver may be defective. I can tell you from my own experience I have a ceiling fan that loses its mind whenever there is a power outage. Has to be reeducated from scratch

The fan does not seem to be receiving the signal from the remote.

Unfortunately, if you have confirmed correct wiring, correct dip switches, and good battery, you either have a faulty reciever or remote. But before you remove the entire ceiling fan, take just the remote set back to home depot, they shouldn't have a problem swapping just the remote and receiver

Can a remote control be installed on the Huntington III?

Yes you can operate them with two styles of remotes: either the remote wall switch, or a hand held remote. Both require the receiver to be mounted above the top of the fan in the base it is wired to. The receiver has wires on both sides; the one side wires directly to the house wires, and the other goes to the fan and light. They are both sold at Home Depot and Lowes. The ones at Home Depot also include the set made by the fan manufacturer.

Have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure that home depot does sell remotes for that brand, although you may have to buy a new receiver to go with it. Otherwise try a lighting store near where you live. They seem to be able to order things like that.

Remote vs receiver problem.

This is one of the best solution to do, look for unit who have same model as your unit( to your friends or neighbors) and test your remote control. If it work in another unit with same model then the remote control is defective, but if it works then its the receiver.

But try this solution first, if there is a reset button in your remote try to reset it then try the remote to your unit.
