Getting Pot in the Cooker

I can't even seem to get my non-stick pot to fit securely into my cooker. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I tried for a good 10 minutes, and it still just fits loosely in the cooker, mostly because of the spring loaded button in the middle of the pot. What the heck?

It is not supposed to fit in the cooker tightly. Just set it in with the water and rice and let it cook ...

The pot is not suppose to be a tight fit. now if there is more and half an inch space then it is a manufacturer defective. but if there is less than half an inch then that's normal cause you have to be able to take it out and wash it. as long as it doesn't rattle when cooking everything is fine

Needed:one non stick pot for a rival rice cooker model # R.C. 100. The non-stick coating is coming off mine.

the best place that i can try and tell you to go is to a hardware store to find the product. if nobody has it locally then you might have to call the manufacturer to order the part. also try ebay. i do know they sell some parts for rice cookers
