Bought 9/08 40,000 copies so far
Using compatible cartriges/drum (Brother products are so expensive and I do a high volume of printing)
Started making Ghost images bottom 3rd of page when Printing.
Changed to Toner Saver (Better)
Tried higher quality/thicker laser paper (Worse)
The more pages I print at once the worse it gets as document goes along. I don't have time to print 1 page at a time.
I can go back and print single pages and I can get a better image
but still see 2nd image on bottom of page.
Brother had me clean laser glass and corona wire but will not help me futher because I am not using genuine brother toner/drum.
Help please client not happy with print quality.

Try this.. It worked in my Brother MFC 7320.. SO it May work.. Open the cover. Remove Drum and Cartridge. Look inside. There are 2 LENS ON both sides. Cover the lens with a tape. Replace Drum and Cartridge. Click cancel. then click 1 for replace drum.. close cover.. Let me know if it works
Sounds like a bad drum cartridge. Pull the toner/drum cartridge out of the machine and set it down. Press down on a (blue?) tab to release the toner cartridge, and you can lift the toner cartridge out of the drum cartridge. There is a cleaning blade in there - a soft plastic blade that rides against the drum and scrapes off toner that didn't get transferred to the paper. If it gets stuck off the drum surface, images repeat a few inches (one drum circumference) down the page.
A new DR-350 drum unit should fix it. have the machine's power on when replacing it. While the door is open, touch the CLEAR key. The display will read "REPLACE DRUM?" or something like that. Press 1 for Yes.
Check your owner's manual, and there's one in the install disk. It will show you where there are electric contacts inside where the drum is. You may have to take the drum out to see them. You're supposed to clean them with isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip. Don't get alcohol on anything else.
Why does the message "CHANGE DRUM SOON" continue to appear on the LCD display of my Brother machine, after I replaced the drum?
This message would continue to appear if the drum counter was not reset when you replaced the drum. To reset the drum counter, follow the instructions listed below.
Open the front cover.
Press the Options key on the control panel.
The display will show "REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO".
Press 1 to reset the drum count.
Close the front cover.
