Computer keeps restarting itself after a few mintues of turning o

My computer was freezing up and i stupidly didn't shut it off correctly. Now it when i turn it on the computer keeps restarting itself after a few minutes. I tried puttin git in safe mode but it just does the same thing and doesn't run. I also tried restoring it but for some reason there is only one restore point to choose from and that last restore point was when the computer froze. Does anyone know how I can fix this promblem?

Why does curser freeze with windows 7

Computer freezes is usually related to hardware, meaning the video card, random access memory (RAM), or another component may be underperforming. Software also can lead to a frozen computer, as can issues with drivers, the operating system, and malware; A virus or spyware infection on your computer might also be the source of freeze issues.all these things can stop a computer from working properly.
1.If the freeze happens every time a certain hardware device is plugged in or switched on, the device itself might be to blame. Check drivers update for the device, and download and install them to erase any bugs that might exist in your version. Similarly, if the freeze only happens when using one particular application, that program might also be the root cause.
2.Run the System Restore utility from the System Tools section of the Accessories folder on the Start menu to roll back Windows to a previous version of the registry. This will fix prior registry issues without affecting personal files and settings.

3.If your computer still keeps freezing up after you take the solutions above, I suggest you to download a software to deal with it. The choice is sure to be more effective and simple, but there are few free utilities for this issue. Windows Boot Genius is a excellent one if you wanna take this solution.

Acer aspire 5520 shut down after turned on for a few seconds

Hi Chritina,

I understand the frustration but this issue happens if the issue is with the hardware. It may be due to overheating of the computer, any hardware conflicts or malfunction, or may be due to Operating System corruption. Please try the below steps:

1. Keep on tapping F2 key on your computer keyboard as soon as you hit the power button.
2. Then press F9 key, press "Y" to confirm and then Press "F10" and press "Y" to confirm, the computer will restart.

It should take care of the issue, however, if the issue still persists, then follow the below mentioned steps:

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the data on the computer.

However, if the issue still persists then the computer needs a Motherboard replacement, in that case you may need to contact Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237 and arrange a Depot Repair for the computer.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

Hang problem

Computers, no matter the make or the model, have a tendency to freeze up. This typically occurs when you overload the RAM on the computer and the laptop can not process any more information. When your laptop freezes, you are not left with many options, so you'll you need to restart the system.

1.Press and hold "CTRL," "ALT" and "Delete" at the same time. Wait and see if a prompt window loads. If one does you can select the program causing the crash and close it. This allows you to return to using the laptop.
2.Push and hold the power button until the system turns off. Typically, you need to hold the power button down for a few moments before the laptop shuts down.
3.Remove the power cord from the laptop if the power button does not turn the computer off. Occasionally this can occur, in which case you need to find an alternative way of cutting the power.
4.Flip the laptop over if the power button is not turning the computer off. Find the battery compartment on the bottom of the laptop and remove it from the computer. Momentarily the computer shuts down. Leave the battery out for a few moments.
5.Insert the battery back into the computer and press the power button. Shortly, the computer restarts and begins to load the operating system.

I hope you find it very helpful.

Acer aspire 6920 startup problem (Windows Error Recovery)

You could try booting up in safe mode by pressing F8 if you haven't already. OR, if you have the Windows operating system disc, you might try to boot off of that, or a system recovery disc. You may lose a few files, but hopefully that will get you up and running. Hope this helps!

Computer shuts off automatically everytime

Usually this happens because of overheating your best bet would be to take it apart and see if there is a fan problem. Most likely need to replace a fan inside/upgrade as it may not be working properly. Also make sure your bents are all clean of dust and debris. Use computer air to clean it out.
Thank you,

Freezing and restarting

This is generally a hardware issue. However, it could very well be that a virus has corrupted the system, and is causeing the hardware issue. Start by checking the memory. A bad memory chip is the most common cause for a problem of this nature.
