My boss wants to know how to mute a conversation on her LG cell phone. She often has to call in to a conference call on her cell and doesn't want to distract others with road noise, etc.
Actually, she's not using a handsfree set... We did not see a mute button on the phone itself. She had heard that #6 would mute the phone but it did not work on her LG. Any other ideas? no way to do this, Temporis 700 does not use standart MUTE function - it use HOLD function instead. And Hold function means that you must inform other side you put it on hold. (our customer has the same problem, the only suggestion: read usermanual or try it before buy)
You can do by calling a person and after it was answered put the call on hold and call another one and then put it also on hold and call the other one. then once all 3 were connected, select the conference option. But be reminded that not all cellphones are supported to do a conference call, except for the latest phones which I believe are all supported..
Some cell phones don't mute, but a *6 will mute your phone to the conference call center, and #6 will unmute if you wish to say something. This will not mute your phone, so when you hang up...you're always good to go to make calls. It only mutes a phone (any phone) to the server conducting the conference.
WHEN you are in conference ..
go to options(that is press left soft key)..dont worry the call will be continued..
then,it displays a list of options,press down until you see mute,click mute and the calls will be muted...
What you have to do is to dail a number and the put it on hold while having a conversation. then dail the second number you you wish to all on the conference then while on that call, click on the Options Botton and scroll down, you will get an option to add all on then in conference
sounds as if you will need your vendor to program your phone and others that need be to have Handsfree/mute capabilities.. i assume since you can not mute then you can not place your phone on Handsfree either.
The button for handsfree is the same button for Mute.
So when you are on the handsfree call, press the handsfree button again and the call is muted on your side.
To talk again, press the handsfree button to un-mute the call, then press it again to mute your call.
