It keeps telling error reading disk. It doesn't read BDs, DVDs or CDs.

None at all - the DVD player has a chipset that is incompatible with that type of disk.
Check the player manual for the disk types it can handle

I have the same problem, one year and done. I Agree LG Sucks. For the money that I paid for this to to break after a year is not right.

Get into the Service Menu by entering 1397139 on the remote control like you did before and restore the original factory-set values stored in flash-memory back the way they were. One you do this your unit will function properly again. [email protected]

If both cd's and dvd's are not recognized then a common solution is to get a lens cleaning disc. A cd player has 2 lasers one for dvd and one for cd, therefore if it fails to read on both then it's not the laser power level it's normaly the lens but can also on the occasion be the sled drive mechanism for the laser. So in short the easiest fix to try first is to run a lens cleaning cd, these can be hired from most video stores.
