My Ipod has been working great in my Scion (which came with the Ipod hook up). Today as I was driving into work, I plugged in my Ipod as I do every morning and every song keeps skipping. I've tried restarting and don't know what the problem is. Can anyone help me? I live in my car and can't live without my music!!! Thanks in advance for your help.

- Check once again if the shake/shuffle is off.
- When using headphones be sure no to press any buttons on the headphones because some headphones skip songs (or rewind, pause etc.) by using such buttons.
If this is not the cas then maybe your headphones are broken and they give a false signal to your iPod to skip a song.
Hope this helped.
Well lots of people come across this problem. Try connecting the Ipod to your computer and then press the critical button and the menu button simultaneously. Hold on to it for about 10-15 seconds and you might find your Ipod working.
Unfortunately the only thing I could do to rectify this problem was "restore" my iPod which essentially means deleting everything and resyncing again. Very frustrating! I found this would happen if I plugged my iPod into my work computer where I didn't have full admin rights to the machine. It was corrupting the main file iTunes reads to see the directories on the iPod. So if you happen to be plugging it into another machine this might be the cause of it happening as I haven't had the problem since I stopped plugging it into my work machine.
Check this link for some steps that you can do in solving this sad face on yoru Ipod because this sad face only tell us that's there's a hardware problem with the Ipod , after you have done all the step from the link and still have the sad face bettre take the Ipod to a service center and if its still under warranty have it replace, http://www.scribd.com/doc/13035/I-get-the-sad-face-iPod-on-the-screen-of-my-iPod-
I think that they said if that doesn't work then you need to get it serviced, please send it to a apple store and they sould be able to help you, if you don't want to do that you can ask me about how to do it again and I can try to walk it through with you to see if it will work. Thanks.
Try going to http://www.apple.com/ca/ipod/download/index_cgi.html . Download that program, install it, then open it and plug in the ipod. If it works u should be able to click restore and your ipod will work.
