XBOX 360 NON-Wireless controller has me running around in circles

Hello! I just bought a used XBox 360 and Fable II recently. When I was playing for about an hour and a half, my character started running around in circles. I couldn't control them. I unplugged and then replugged in my controller and it would be okay for about a couple of minutes and then start right back up again! I was wondering if it had more to do with my cheap controller or with my XBOX 360? What should I do? I have a wireless controller I bought used. When I go to the left on the control stick the character moves. But when I let off he keeps moving. Its really annoying. I need help fixing it.

Regards your character moving left when the thumb stick has been let go, this is usually causes by the thumbstick not centering itself when released, is the stick leaning to one side when released ? does manually centering the thumbstick stop this happening ?

This is usually caused by internal failure of the thumb stick and not easy to repair, I have cured this problem on one of my controllers by removing the faulty thumb stick from the motherboard and soldering a working one from another faulty controller back in, not recommended unless you are confident with a soldering iron.

Might be worth a new controller, cheapest genuine one i could find £19.95

I have the Wireless Racing Wheel with Force Feedback. We usually play Forza Motorsport 2 and everything worked fine. We recently bought Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) and the pedals don't work. ...

Hello, NFS Hot pursuit 2010 on the Xbox 360 officially supports the Microsoft wheel but any Xbox 360 wheel will most likely work fine....their words. I haven't played the console version but if you say the wheel works I suggest you try remapping the pedal controls under gameplay settings if this is possible

I hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa.

Characters walk around in circle and move backwards .Just bought Modern warfare 2.character won't walk forward only backwards and in circles.same problem in Grand theft Auto Games. My console is xbox 360...

It sounds like you have controller issues, try using another controller and see if they still walk circles. If the joystick is not in the centre home postion when you turn on console it will read left/right/etc as the centre. Also try using a different battery in the controller, mine has the same charging issue and i found that jiggleing the plug and play cord can sometimes turn the charger cord from green(or nothing) to red. Good luck..

Help Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver For Windows, help help

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, If the reciever is not lighting up then it is dead, you can try to take it to walmart and exchange it for a working one, they are usualy good at swapping out and if they give you a hard time buy a new one and return it with the old reciever instead of the new one. I hope this helps you.

check to see if anything is obscuring the disc tray on opening and closing.
If there isnt check the disc make sure its smooth and flat no bumps and not bent

if there is noises like grinding when playing it may be a part inside causing this
