    I have a 55 " WEGA" Sony LCD

My lamp did burn out, so I replaced it. It worked right away, but one day later, the unit shuts off and on repeatedly for the first 20 min to 30 min. ( with a ver dim screen ) Until it warm up, then the picture is fine. I have seen these same symptoms after three days now. Did the replacement lamp get damaged, is it defective?

We Have a Sony KDF-50WE655, we've replaced the lamp and housing and we still have no picture or sound. Can you help?

Make sure that lamp cover is fixed back on its position securely after lamp replacement, turn On tv to check.
If still no picture or sound then check power/standby light is blinking?
If yes, count it how many times it blinks after 3 seconds long pause and let me know to diagnose possible cause of problem.
Thanks.

I have a Sony grand wega KDF-50we655. The picture was dim/dark etc. as suggested I replaced the lamp. Not much change. I did notice when the screen was White the left side had green in it and the otherside...

These tvs are LCD they have no tube to fill or color wheel.
You need to clean the glass light filters and lens.
If you remove the back and unplug the 9 plugs that go to the fans and LCD board/light housing it has 4 screws that hold it in to the front of the tv. 30 min Job.

Low brightness on my tv

Many times the symptom of low brightness on these TVs is that the lamp is getting old and not producing the light output it once had. Start there and get back to me if there is still an issue.

Sony KDF-50WE655 will not power up. Red blight blinks 4 times

4 blinks shows problem either one or all 4 fans are not working AND internal temperature high error.

If you are familiar with TV repair and know basic electronics then unplug TV from AC outlet an take off back cover and check fans are running?
