Question about Kodak EasyShare SV811 (8858946) Digital Picture Frame

I can't get back to selection of languages screen

When I first turned the SV811 on the language screen appeared. I selected english but every instruction section is in Spanish ( I think)

Please try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Turn the frame off.
2. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet.
3. Remove any memory card or flash disk from the frame.
4. Connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet.
5. Turn the frame on.

6. Use a paper clip to press the button inside the pinhole on the back of the frame.

If after trying the above steps and the frame still have the same problem, then we need
to send the frame in for a repair as per warranty guidelines.

Your frame will be repaired per warranty guidelines. A product is warranted for 1 year from the date-of-purchase. For an In-Warranty repair, a “Proof-of-Purchase” is required. If the repair center finds any customer induced damaged, the warranty will be voided and you will receive a notification from the repair center in such cases.

Go to the Settings > Viewing Options > Select Slide duration - specify how long each picture is displayed in a slide show, from 3 seconds (default) to 1 hour.

Can not add pictures to Kodak


To get a good start, you reformat the frame's internal memory by following the steps below: 1. Click on the "Macintosh HD" icon. 2. Click on "Applications". 3. Click on "Utilities". 4. Click on "Disk Utility". 5. "Kodak" drive should be in the list showing a white drive icon 6. Click that icon and select “Erase”. 7. Select the “MS-DOS file system (FAT16)” option and give it a volume name e.g. "Kodak". The format will begin when you click the “Erase” button below. 8. Try to copy the files to the re-formatted internal memory of the frame. 1. Click on the "Macintosh HD" icon. 2. Click on "Applications". 3. Click on "Utilities". 4. Click on "Disk Utility". 5. Cant copy any pictures from computer


You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:
Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:


1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

Follow these steps, Selecting all:

The EasyShare SV811 will not start up

Language setup


After trying on my own, I went back into setting by scrolling along until a picto gram - with what appears to be a machine bolt is highlighted and then pressed SET - next the screen shows a bunch of chinese words (these are the different languages) then I scrolled down to the last one - until its highlighted, - this is the english one - press the set button on the side of the frame, this will bring you back to the english menu.
