So I can switch out a board if I know what one to change out. Can anyone help me find the right boaed, and where to get it at? I would appreciate any help anyone can give. I love my tv, and am not compleate without it, PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks....

Tried that, I paid $100 for them to come tell me it would be over $1000 and they cant garranty that they can even fix it for that. A tuner I can replace, but I dont think that is it as it does switch inputs from tv to dvd and so forth. Thanks...

What is convergence? It does not have anything other than lines going from one side to the other, like the vert is off on an old tube tv. Not even the OSD (volume, channel, ect.) is showing up. The colors change with the picture, but you cant make anything out. The sound still works good. It does the same thing on all the inputs. When on DVD, and it would have a steady picture, the lines drop out every 2 seconds or so and go to black. Then the colored lines, nothing, colored lines, nothing ect... It would do this every time the power went out before, but ussually you could turn it off and on again and it would be fine. Not this time. The last advice was really good, but I dont think I described the problem well enough before. PLease help, Thanks.....

Does it look like the convergence is off? Like if the picture is in 3-D? You will need the 251166 convergence amp board, and or the 251170, convergence generator board. They are available as a rebuilt at PTS corp, They are located at http://www.ptscorp.com, or you can call them at 1-800-844-7871. Since this set was hit by lightning, Both boards are most likely bad and should be replaced. I am not sure of the cost of these boards in the rebuilt state, BUT the new boards, if they were still available from RCA, would cost you about 700 to 800 bucks. Good Luck

Post a picture on what it looks like if you do not think it is a convergence problem then. If you do not know what convergence is, my friend, you should not get into the set.

My friend it is the tv tunner that needs to be replace you will have to take your set to a repair shop for repairs.tv needs qualified tech to repair them.you might cause injury to your self.although you want to save money it is best to have a tech deal with your tv,than doing more damage to your tv and to yourself.it will cost you less on the longer run.good luck

take out your vertical board and replace it most likely it is defected.for the future it is best to post a full picture of the ongoing problem tormenting your tv.so that the online tech can see it.it also be your horizontal board.but you will still have to take your set to a tech for repairs.your problem is more technical than you think.

I HAVE 22 INCH FLAT SCREEN THAT FELL AND THE SCREEN WAS HIT SO NOW IT HAS DIFFERENT COLOR LINE AND IT LOOKS AS IF THE SCREEN IS CRACKED BUT IT NOT. WHAT COULD BE WRONG

Flat screen sets (LCD and Plasma) are extremely fragile and if damaged in any way the cost of replacement exceeds the price of a new set.

A 22 inch is likely not to even have the display panel available---considering cost of replacement set--I would just buy a new set.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55807 and the colors started to separate - you can reset it by turning if off and on again and it goes away but in time returns, starts getting blury then the colors split up - just...

In your On Screen Display menu (OSD), you should have a place that says "convergence". As a sub heading to this it will say "Auto-Convergence". This is where you want to be! Hit OK under AUTO, and watch the magic happen! If your set happens NOT to have AUTO, you'll have to do it manually. You're going to make the lines all match up doing one color at a time until all three colors are done! It's not hard at all. It may take a little patience at first, but just think of all the money your saving by not having a TV tech come out to your house and you'll be fine!

Your alignment is off. Go to the set up menu then convergence. hit right and you will be in the convergence menu. select the color that is not in alignment. The green line does not move. if blue and green are lined up the line will be cyan. if red and green are lined up the line will be yellow. when all three are lined up the color will be light. Best of luck!
