The price of a new one would probably be the same or cheaper than having it repaired, especially a Kodak. If you recently bought it then it should still be under Kodak's standard 1-year warranty.

Can you please confirm that a Tamron AF 18-270 Di II VC LD lens can adapt to Sony alpha a55v camera body? Also are there any tricks a novice should be aware of? I also would like to know if the above is...

Tamron makes their lenses with a variety of mounts, to fit a variety of cameras. Assuming you get a lens with a Sony mount, then it will work. A Tamron lens with a Nikon mount, for example, will not fit a Sony camera.

Camera offers differ from country to country, so unless you can specify the offer in particular no one can tell you which is better. However, in general a single wide-range zoom such as the 18-270 will not be quite as sharp as two separate, shorter-range zooms, such as an 18-55 and a 55-200. But one lens will usually be lighter than two lenses, so you have to carry less. Also, you won't have to waste time changing lenses. It's a trade-off, and only you can decide which factors are more important to YOU. And, of course, you have to consider the cost and factor that into your decision.

Back screen is cracked . Is it fixable/replaceable?

Hi, The screen can be replaced at times however it's quite costly (I've seen it cost up to $400 before). Honestly you're better off getting a new camera unfortunately.

The LCD screen on my Nikon Coolpix S22O is broken so you cannot see the screen, its is just white and looks smashed on the inside.

Hello

Ok, so, what exactly is the question. Would you like to know the replacement costs?

Please be more specific in order for us to understand the question, and help you better.

Kind regards
Andrea

Cracked screen

Hi

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and such, camera stops working completely etc, cracked screen is not one of those things.

You must have dropped your purse or something must have pressed on the screen and caused it to crack.

I think they will charge you for a new screen.

This depends on your warranty, if it covers cracks and the product being dropped I'm sure they will give you a new one to replace it, or find parts to repair it.

Cracked Screen for a Panasonic DMC-TZ4

Not worth replacing screen, due to labor cost so if camera works, it can still be used for snapping up shots if set on automatic and can be connected to monitor source e.g. gps monitor, portable TV,etc to view pics or change settings. Can try selling cheaply online and use money for new camera.

LCD Screen "cracked"

I have the same problem right now. It was fine last night, and when I woke up it was cracked, now it looks like a black sunset. I've only had it for 5 months and I need to get it fixed, but I have no idea where to take it. I bought it from best buy, but I didn't buy the warranty or anything, will they still fix it? I'll pay.
