The WRT54G is notorious for its lack of security controls. You are more likely to tell it what cannot connect than what can. If you want to restrict access I would suggest enabling wireless security and setting a password.

How do i secure my router?

1.Have a computer hard wired to one of the wired ports of your router.
2.Open Internet explorer and type in 192.168.1.1
3.Leave the user name blank and type "admin" in the password box. If you have previously changed the username and password for the Linksys router, use those credentials instead. Once you have entered the correct username and password, the page will load the main configuration menu for the Linksys router.
4.You ll have option called security ..Choose it ..Enable WPA/WPA2 Encryption which has highest protection and click on Save Settings
