Mitusbishi WS65813 blinking green light

I understand you may have the solution. I did the obvious stuff...unplug-wait-plug in and try again...reset button on front...combinations of these. My email address is prophead at digital dot net. I will certainly rank you if you have the fix. Oh yeah...thanks too.

Techlore has a complete guide posted on their side in pdf that fully explains the fix with pictures, replacement part numbers, etc. Today is the day...the caps are here from Digikey, the desoldering equipment is ready, solder and soldering iron too. Wish me luck. The part about contacting Mitsubishi will help if the cap replacement fix doesn't work. By the way...the caps are 1000uF, 35V and MUST be replaced with 105C versions...not the 85C versions you can find at Radio Shack.

I replaced the caps yesterday and did the victory dance. The set worked for an hour then the blinking green light of death returned. I don't know what to do beside try the fix again. Do you have any other ideas? Sending the chassis sounds like a major deal.

You have a defective power supply and/or DM board, usualy are bad caps 1000 uf 16v, if after replacing all caps the problem persist you will need to contact mistsubishi and send the chassis for repair.

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

I have a mitsubishi model WS-55511. The green light keeps blinking. Have reset by unpluging and then pluging back in and holding the reset but for 5 seconds and press the power button. worked once, but...

TWO possible reasons for the blinking light:

1. The DM unit (caps and or fuses) are bad---no longer made and only (to my knowledge) PTS electronics repairs/rebuilds them.

2. Less likely but Possible: remove front speaker grill and inspection plate behind it----locate the two bundles of wires from front keyboard on set and follow them down and to the right---unplug both plugs and plug set in and wait 70 plus seconds and try to turn set on with Mitsubishi remote.

The blinking light is the DM trying to boot up--if set works with front keyboard unplugged---the tiny reset switch on it is bad.

If set does NOT work that way DM UNIT IS BAD.

Open up the front, look under the right side picture tube. Look for puddle of oil on signal board. If you see this, it has bad picture tube & signal board. Not a good repair.

I have a green flashing light and my tv won't turn on.

This is cause of a power interuption. Try unpluging the TV from the wall, and waiting several min. Then plug it back up, wait serveral min again and the green light should stop blinking. Then turn it on.
