Question about Computers & Internet
The top of the adapter on my power inverter has melted and will not work
If it is the tip end that you put into the cigar lighter you can get a replacement at most good auto-shops. You then need to get a soldering iron, and solder wire aswell. When you have all of these, you can begin.
Firstly cut open the old plug.
Then you will see 2 wires attached to thhe metal contacts inside.
Remove 1 wire and note which contact it was soldered to then solder it onto the same contact of the new plug.
Do the same for the second and you are done.
You could put a fuse in line to prevent damage to the equipment it is powering.
