Is that the monitor you are using with your computer? If so than go to the device manager and update the drivers for the monitor.

  1. click 'start'
  2. right click 'my computer'
  3. click 'manage'
  4. on the left side click 'device manager'
  5. on the right side click the '+' sign beside the word 'monitor'
  6. right click 'montior'
  7. click 'update driver'

I hope this helps, let me know how you made out, and please rate my answer. Good Luck!

After about 30 minutes the computer freezes. I just recently installed a new monitor with the drivers. I have disabled the power saver, hibernate, and anything that could cause the computer to enter sleep...

If all of this just started happening after installing the new monitor, then it's probably the drivers that were installed for your monitor conflicting with your computer. Try deleting the monitor's drivers by right-clicking 'My Computer' and selecting 'Properties'. Then, select the Hardware tab and go into Device Manager. Find the Monitors section in the list of devices and click the plus sign beside it to expand the node. Right-click the monitor there and click 'Uninstall' to remove it. Use another monitor and see if the problem still persists. If not, then you know there's a problem with the new drivers for your monitor. You'll need to contact the manufacturer to get updated drivers for it.

My name is Vincent and I have a Viewsonic VX1962Wm monitor and it doesn't work. Do I need a driver for it?

In most of the recent PC's the drivers are nott requried as the processor/memory supports.
So If your monitor does not comes ON on switch over then it is an hardware issue and needs to be checked.
If the monitor powers but does not come on there can be issues in the trigger circuit/monitor interface of the PC or in the monitor.

Monitor does not require any Drivers. If you are referring to the Graphic Driver of your computer then it can be downloaded from the manufacturer website of your computer.

PC running without anything showing on monitor.

Sounds like you have somehow deleted the driver for the monitor - - you need to plug another monitor into your PC - you can use the laptop you are using now - then you need to download the driver for the monitor again when you can see on the screen

if you are referring to monitor adjustments like screen width/height, the controls should be at the front ot the monitor. you do not need drivers for that. but if you are referring to screen resolutions, you need drivers for your video card. check your driver cd's from dell, or identiy your pc's name/model and do a search for it in dell's support web site

Hello there !
First things Frist:
1) Test the switching on keyboard for external monitor and see if work, or you disable the laptop monitor.
2) install the driver for select external monitor. depending the video card, you may have 2 display panels, to select, on that driver. NVIDIA or RADEON
