Indesit IDL705

When I turn the knob to the cycle I require, switch the power on and then press the start button nothing happens and normally the first two green lights on the left hand set of lights flashes. These lights refer to both the timer function for the 3hour and 6 hour icons below the lights and the soak and detergent parts of the cycle respectively. Absolutely nothing happens. If you try and reset and start again very very occasionally some sort of pump or soak cycle seems to start but then stops soon after and then on trying to reset again nothing happens. The water inlet is on and the filter is fine.

The first time we noticed it was not working the tray at the bottom was full of water but had not washed the dishes. I had to manually remove the water from teh tray to get the dishwasher out and check all hoses, filters etc etc
