Just install the software, connect your wireless mouse and your OS will do the rest.
If you dont have the software, you can download it from here
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/639/3135&cl=gb,en?osid=1

Download and install the program "Setpoint"

Thanx for using FixYa

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Have a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard from a friend. Need step by step instuctions for installation. can you help?

You need the wireless receiver to go with the mouse & keyboard. Plug the receiver into a USB port and windows XP (or Vista or Win7) should automatically install the drivers for it.If this does not happen then there may be specific drivers on the logitech web site.
Once the drivers are installed, the mouse and keyboard should work (assuming batteries have been installed in them!)

If you have the software, then uninstall the RX650 software. Then re-install software and drivers. You can go to Logitech and download all required software and updates.

Install a Logitech cordless mouse on my desktop computer

Go to the Logitech website. In the support/downloads are you will find the software & drivers you need to install to your computer. You can download the generic logitech wireless driver & then let the new software determine the model. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Snapped USB fob for Logitech RX650

The quick answer is yes, it is possible to replace and you'll find a suitable plug here http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=43998

The question is, will you be able to fit the new plug yourself and the answer to that question is not so easy. USB plugs are multi connectors, which means there are several connection terminals associated with the plug. The wires will need to be soldered to the correct places and this would not be a job for someone without soldering experience. Computer mice are not expensive these days and you may fine it easier and cheaper to look for a replacement on eBay. Do also check the USB socket on the laptop too, just to make sure it has not been stressed too much.
Best wishes....
