Internet explorer script error line 1908 pop up

An Internet Explorer script error is usually the result of something done by the web developer regarding the script of the webpage you are viewing, which is totally out of your hands so there isnt much you can do about these.

Most of the time, these are just a nuisance and you can turn off these error messages if you want to -

1- open Internet Explorer
2- click on the Tools menu
3- select the Internet Options menu item
4- open the Advanced tab
5- check the box next to "Disable script debugging"
6- remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
7- click the OK button

gehenna_0.gif

In some cases the error is due to something happening on your PC rather than the webpage itself such as Java applets, active scripting or ActiveX controls are being blocked, the relevant scripting engine on your computer is out of date, your video card driver is out of date or DirectX drivers are out of date.

If you do not wish to turn off the notifications but want to try to get rid of these messages you can make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, DirectX is up to date and Java is running at the latest version.

If this issue is coming up on every page you view rather than just one or two, one last issue that could be causing these is some type of virus or malware - so as a final check please ensure you are running up-to-date virus protection and malware protection, and complete some scans ASAP.

Thanks, if this solution helps please rate :)

Cannot connect to the internet on the Toshiba Netbook. Has very strong network signal.

Hi,

Troubleshoot the issue by identifying the ip address that your computer has. May it be wireless or local area connection. Check IP Address thru command prompt or DOS.
· press <windows key>+<R>
· type "cmd"
· press ok button. a black box will appear
· type "ipconfig /all" then press enter key
· locate wireless connection and local area connection group by scrolling up/down.

NOTE: ignore highlighted physical address.

If the ip address is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx, this is an invalid ip address. Contact Internet Service Provider. If the ip address is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx, click start and open control panel. then open internet options. click on connections tab. click on lan settings. Make sure no tick box checked. All set your anti virus' firewall settings to default. Then try browsing.

I hope this works for you. KINDLY REPLY IF FURTHER ASSISTANCE NEEDED. Good Luck!

My grandkids have went to sights, now i get message that someone or something is trying to attack my computer but norton 360 blocked it. My question is I have bought another dell desktop pc and want to put...

Hi,

You don't have to worry about the attack being transferred to the new computer because they will both have a different IP address.

Providing you protect your computer with a good antivirus software like you are already using then you should be fine although no computer is 100% safe from attacks and viruses.

Norton 360 provides decent internet security plus some attacks are dependant on the site you visit. It's all about being vigilant and protecting your computer the best you can.

Regards.

Orange screen

You may have a virus, they usually affect your background screen on your computer and they can be nasty and aggressive. I have fought many and it's not easy to beat them even with virus protection. First do not take any random offers for virus protection that may pop up, second go with a well known virus protection program like mcaffe or norton. These are well worth the price and subscriptions are usually for a year. Purchase one of these from your computer and let it run, follow the instructions to eliminate any possible threats and if this doesn't resolve all the issues don't get upset the virus protection is very good but even they may not work completely if you infact have a virus already on your computer. it never hurts to employ the services or the geek squad or those fox people.

Hello, to turn your protection on, follow this:

1.- Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Security Center

Turn it on your protection from there. If you dont have an antivirus installed on your machine you can get one for free here:

I can't get to http://192.168.0.30/

I did this with Windows 7 but the same solution applies to Vista and XP.
1. Connect the Range Extender (mine happens to be the DWL-G710) by cable to your computer. 2. Open the Network and Sharing Center. 3. Click on the connection, then on "Properties" 4. From the list select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click properties. 5. Select "Use the following IP address" 6. Use the following settings: IP Address: 192.168.0.130 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.0.30 7. Click OK then Close. Give the computer a few seconds to re-establish the connection. 8. Go back to your browser and type 192.168.0.30 again. It will work. 9. Don't forget to go back once you're finished and change the setting back to "Obtain IP address automatically."
Also, it's a bad idea to use WEP encryption as any password you would use is easily crackable within a few minutes using the Aircrack suite of hacking tools in Linux. Even someone using Windows can use a live Linux distribution such as BackTrack which is bootable from a CD to hack in and get your password. Once they have it they're in and use your internet connection.
Use WPA-PSK encyption or better and choose a password that can't be found in any dictionary or on the web. It can't be hacked as of yet.
