SOURCE: how to use the usb port on Pioneer DV-410V DVD Player

Dear friends in problem solving.
My husband actually solved this problem by writing in the browser: Manual for Pioneer DV-410V DVD player.
That was available online and there it said that not all formats was supported by the USB port, so we tried to load a movie on a pen drive, insert it in the player and it opened and we just clicked play, so it was actually an issue of having an incompatible video file on the pen drive that made it not open in the first place.
Hugs from Solvejg

SOURCE: i have a pioneer dvd player, model DV-380. How can

If you mean to play DVD’s that you may have purchased in another country the see below

For that you need to do a Google for "mymodel region free" or "region free hack"

Not all DVD players are capable of this often very simple modification that many manufacturers build into DVD player. (Usually just involves the remote control and a combination of keys)

Your search will turn up a lot of sharks that want money for the hack (fix)

IGNORE THEM

There are a lot of sites where the information is free.

If after opening up the region free parameter you still have issues and you still want to play your dvd's from around the world you might want to consider another one

I am STILL (lauren) unsure of FIXYA's policy on this topic and am awaiting further clarification on the issue with regards to handing out these codes as this is not HACKING in the same sense as pirate software etc. it is just enabling an extra feature that the manufacturer provided.
I would prefer not to get my @ss kicked. That is why I can only give you the search terms rather than site links or specific information

Dv-47i not diplay picture properly

Hi Darrin
Obviously there is a problem with the RCA cable or socket. Yellow is the Video signal. S Video combines these into one cable.
For absolute best video performance try and use HDMI if available as this is the most modern means of getting High Definition Video & Sound from one device to another

Pioneer DVD-400V Interlace Reset

To switch your Pioneer DV-400V DVD player back to an interlaced video mode after selecting a progressive scan mode and loosing picture, follow these steps:

  1. Switch everything off.
  2. Reconnect using the supplied video cable (standard RCA Red White & Yellow).
  3. Switch the player to standby.
  4. Press and hold the Standy/ON button while pressing the |<< button.
This resets your player to default video output, allowing you to reconfigure your HDMI settings to 1080i, and then reconnect your HDMI cable.

I hope that helps.

I have a Samsung LCD TV model #LN46B301FUZA, a dish VIP622DVR a pioneer VSX-D307 reciever and a Pioneer DV-414 DVD player that I am trying to get hooked up. The Dish tech hooked up the TV and DVR using a...

I can't find your TV model to have a look at the manual. Normally you'd use a 3-plug RCA cable (Red, White, Yellow) to connect the audio and video outputs of the DVR to an RCA input on the TV. Then, hoping you have RCA OUTPUTS from the TV, you'd use a 2-plug RCA cable to take an Audio OUT from the TV into one of the receiver's Audio inputs (assuming you want to play TV sound through the receiver.
If you have no RCA inputs on the TV, you can get an RCA to HDMI Converter from Amazon for $10-$15 to convert the output of the DVD player from 3-plug RCA to HDMI, then put that into one of the HDMI inputs on the TV. Likewise, if you have only an OPTICAL audio output from the TV you can get a converter for that -- Optical audio to RCA stereo -- and put that into your receiver as an input.

Hi, Our pioneer dvd player dv 373 suddenly only plays grey, despite the fact that the initial menu shows pioneer in colour. How can we get colour again? Thanks in advance T

Are you putting a american standard disk NTSC into a PAL European tv ?
This can cause this problem.
Look at your tv manual / settigs to see if there is an option for this. Most tv do these days.

Diagonal stripes on Television can it be repaired

Yes. You are losing a capacitor in the vertical hold circuit. Once replaced the lines should disappear.
