Glad i could help. Sometimes it just a fresh start to get rid of all the problems. After windows runs on the same machine for a while it seems to need some pretty big fixes or just to start over.

HELP ME


UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME = the BIOS tries to load Windows and can't find it. Either the hard disk has died and must be replaced or Windows was completely corrupted by malware. In either case you must do a full reinstall and load a better antivirus,  and if it happens again you will know that the disk is dead, replace it.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L355-S7811 laptop that will not boot. It keeps going to a blue screen that says fatal error and before I can read it,it restarts. I dont have a recovery cd so I dowloaded 2 from...


See let me talk with you from experience...

The only thing that can be done is system restore to factory default and remember to backup your documents.

This is the only way to resolve the problem you are going through.

select start windows normally and press enter.

it's the windows installation that's faulty, not your laptop.

ur windows xp cd is corrpat to make new copy of ur windows xp cd & try to install if not insatlls bye the windows xp cd

or try to install onther from the onther cd
if problem occers then u have to repartioin of ur hard drive & try to install windows xp

Your description of the symptom shows that your operating system installation has been corrupted. Fastest and easiest way to resolve the Issue using the "Recovery and application disk" (it comes with laptop) to perform full system recovery. I would like to remind you full system recovery will erase everything saved on Hard drive. You can check possible option on http://support.toshiba.com

If you dont have recovery and application disk you get one. You can call Toshiba @ 1-800-457-7777

You have to order replacement disks from Toshiba - probably about $30 for a set.

If you are getting errors with installing just plain XP, you probably have a hardware problem - Probably a bad hard drive or stick or RAM. Try pulling one stick out (if you have 2) and reinstalling XP.
