You load the originals print side uo on the document feeder tray or print side down on the glass.
To send a single page fax you can either load the original on document feeder tray or on the glass; to send a multi-page fax you must use the document feeder tray.
Hello db, Try this...Place the envelope to the right side of the feeder. Position the envelope with the flap facing up and to the left. I use Microsoft Office Word software for feeding and printing envelopes with good results. You can also go to the HP website and download their envelope printing software for free. Hope this is helpful for you. If it is, please leave positive feedback for me. Good luck! NormanZ
to fix misalign and paper jam problem, follow this steps.
Load one or two sheets of unused plain white full-size paper into the document feeder tray, and then press Start Copy Black to pull the pages through the automatic document feeder. The plain paper releases and absorbs residue from the rollers and separator pad. NOTE: If the automatic document feeder does not pick up the plain paper, try cleaning the front roller. Wipe the roller with a soft lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
If the problem persists, or the automatic document feeder does not pick up the plain paper, clean the rollers and separator pad manually.
Follow the steps below to clean the rollers or separator pad.
1.Lift the cover of the automatic document feeder. This allows access to the rollers and the separator pad. 2.Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with distilled water, then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth. 3.Use the damp cloth to wipe any residue off of the rollers or the separator pad. 4.Close the cover of the automatic document feeder. This should solve the problem. Cheers!
I take it the scanner is connecting to your pc okay? the paper need to engage in the feeder. Try just putting one piece of a4 copy paper in the scanner and seeing if that will register as beng paper in the document feeder.
If the lines are vertical (in the direction the ADF feeds, 11in long for 8 1/2 by 11) You can try cleaning the glass the scanner uses when it's using the document feeder. Pull up the top left part of the printer where the documents feed, there's a little rib in the middle of the side to help you do this, then simply pull up the assembly underneath with all the rollers in it, you should see about an inch of glass underneath and a centimeter long strip of white plastic on the assembly (this serves as the white background when feeding slimmer papers) Clean them both. I'd recomend any glass cleaner, just don't spray it in there, spray it onto a cloth.
no,just try to clean the roller of the ADF at the same time the separator pad.make sure that you are using paper that is 24lb weight coz if you are using paper that is so thin if may cause also an issue that the ADF could not pick-up...if the issue is still occuring return/replaced the printer...
