This normally happens when upgrading your operating system i.e. from windows xp upgrading to windows vista. But the problems is sometimes it can skip important things or maybe you skipped on something. A likely problem is it doesnt boot after bios because the booting order is incorrect. When you boot go to your bios. im not sure what computer you have so follow the guide on this site http://www.whitecanyon.com/how-to-change-boot-order.php and the reply to this with your booting order! ONLY DO UP TO STEP 3! then if not already selected change it to harddrive but remember what it was peviously just incase this wasnt the problem. When set to harddrive try and boot again and hopefully it will work. If not then i suggest phoning up the company and asking instead of sending it to the shop as it will cost alot and they will take your computer from you!

hi its me again can you tell me if you computer is an Intel or what it is because i also have another solution, as other factors could result in boot up failure. If intel then you can go to bios and press F9 this will restore factory settings which will undo any changes and may work also!

PXE-E61 BOOT PROBLEM

PXE - Post Executable Environment also known as Pixie Boot.

this is used to build a PC from scratch on a network.

if this is a personal laptop you do not need to have this activated to turn off go into BIOS and change the boot order so the HDD is first and the network boot is last.

if you are trying to build a PC using PXE make sure you have an image server for it to contact and that your bios is up to date and supports the PXE boot

To resetting the bios for toshiba A205-s5825 notebook

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link .

In case of your HP laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Toshiba Satellite P205-S6237 won't Boot up after full shutdown

i think there is some issues with the OS because i noticed you can't shut it down properly so maybe the files needed in order to shut down had been corrupted but one more theory, the bios settings make sure that everythings configured properly there by checking the power options on the bios setup(the blue screen)so try setting it to default and change the boot priority to HDD,CDROM,FLOPPY.

Master reset of my toshiba satelite

Put in the restore CD and hold down C while booting, this will allow you to boot from thh CD and select how you want to restore the computer. Alternatively, you can attempt to boot in safe mode with command prompt, and type "chkdsk /r" without the quotes, and press enter., post your results.

Toshiba p205-s6237

Hi

I would boot into Safe Mode and run this utility to check your registry and startup.

http://www.download.com/Startup-Inspector-for-Windows/3000-2086_4-10291346.html?cdlPid=10452094

OR

You can try the original OS cd and repair the installation of the OS.

Last Resort

If that does not work then see if you can roll your computer back to a date prior to the problem starting.
