Hi!
Sounds like your beating the stuffing out of your laptop? Have you tried a Usb cooling pad and also siteing the Laptop in a cool breathable area?
I had a collegue with the same problem although he was using it in the Laptop bag (Silly Billy) on a four fanned cool pad and well happy!
Good Luck!

During work my laptop gets jam, until i dont take the battery out it dos'nt shutdown and after shutdown it does'nt start back.

Your laptop may be getting too hot, or it is not able to cope with the applications that are being run on it. It may need to be upgraded, you might want to concider performing a fresh install of your operating system Windows XP/Windows 7, remember to backup your information. Get your laptop serviced, the technician will remove the dust from the inside of your laptop, this will allow greater air flow through your laptop thus reducing the tempreatures giving you a laptop that will perform at it's optium level.

Hi there, i have advent 9515, few month ago the battery stopped charging, i decided to check the bios when i went to the bios my laptop shutdown by himself i didnt event save anything, and now the laptop...

I would suggest that you first perform the diagnostic tests explained in these 2 articles:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r6395191-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures_ac

http://www.fixya.com/support/r6416948-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures

Based on the outcome of these tests, we could either find out the root cause of the problem & fix it, or we could find a clue as to where else to look for the root cause of the problem.

I will be more than happy to guide you further. Just drop me notes with whatever results you get, & I will guide you through what to do.

Lenovo Y410 laptop is getting hot and shutdown automatically.

When systems power off suddenly, always suspect - the power first. I would then look at heat and physical connections next as culprits. Memory errors almost always show up as blue screens.
I say try a new power supply and see what it does. Its not a lot of money either way.

Run CPUID Hardware Monitor and watch your temps. You will have to turn logging on or you will lose the data in a crash.
Make sure your CPU heatsink is still connected properly. Things have a way of working loose.

Gateway P6860fx Shutdown

for what its worth I have the same laptop..bought it from best buy as you did.I play a lot of 3d games..I play Crysis for hours at a time as well as F.E.A.R. and have never had a shut down problem.I would suggest taking it back to best buy.The only thing I have found to be a problem with this laptop is that its a 64 bit operating system.I have Vista 32 bit on my other computer and have never had a problem..the 64 bit has given me driver problems on a few programs that I use to use.I'm actually thinking of doing a fresh install and put in vista 32 bit.Haven't decided yet..still searching for more info on the 2 systems.
Anyway..I'd take it back.
PS..the fan is working isn't it?
