If you dont have issues playing your usual psp games, you dont have to worry about the orange light. That is normal. It means that your PSP is saving the data to your memory stick.
Also make sure that your WLan switch is turned off ( that also causes a blinking orange light ).
However, if you are experiencing a flickering orange light and your screen remains black ( and you cannot play any games), it means that your PSP is having issues reading you memory card.
Remove the memory card and turn your PSP on without the memory card (it should turn on with no problems)
Now, slowly re-insert your Memory stick. (You may need to do this several times until your PSP recognizes your memory card)
If this still does not work, your Memory stick is busted or may be infected with a virus and therefore needs to be replaced.
Wishing you with positive results. All the best to you.
you have updated the sony psp firmware to 5.5
so thatz the firmware which will not allow you to play the games using the memory card
however you will be able to play using the umd
this is done to stop piracy
if you want to play the games using the memory stick
then you can download the m33 firmware for psp
which allow you to play through memory stick
its the same sony software but has been changed a bit so that it can read the game file through memory card
i have been using this m33 driver from past 2 years and it works perfectly u can even update this driver to its latest version
hope this will fix your problem
What happened was that when you downgraded your PSP to -play game from your memory stick, that version was loaded onto your PSP for a reason. What you did now is install the latest firmware and that disabled you from playing games from your memory stick. You might have to get your PSP downgraded again with the older firmware version.
you have to have a custom firmware psp, google it if ya dont know what that is, when yout psp is on custom formware you format the memory stick and you get the iso folder on the root folder you just put the games on there using a usb cable.
inlease your downloading the game from playstation.com then you need a custom firmware to play stolen games. games off of torrentz.com u cant just through a game u d/l onto a memory stick and play it on the psp.
i dont suggest using custom firmware. this could cause your psp to get bricked
