Question about Veritas Cluster Server for Solaris Oracle 8i/9i Agent 4.0 (A09999F-A00000) for Sun
Please tell me the way to create username and password other than default on in a simple manner
Can you clarify your question?
For instance, where do you need to create the username/password? Oracle?
If you are asking for the sql to create a user in Oracle, it is very simple:
(change the items inside <> to your needs)
sql> create user <username> identified by <password>;
At this point, keep in mind that the user has no privileges, so the user will exist, but will not be able to do anything on the database.
Hint: What I like to do when I am in a hurry is create the user as follows:
grant <role> to <username> identified by <password>;
This command will create the user, assign it the password you gave it and grant the ability allowed by the role in question.
Hope this helps!
