Question about Philips 51PW9303 51" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Philips projection tv with the convergence ic stk392-120. Has the problem of no picture, dark screen but the sound and system control is operational. B+ going to h-out is present, heaters of three picture tubes are lit, but the lamp is off.Can somebody knows the solution for this problem?
I have like a Phillips Series LXI Im pretty sure. I received it in a repair class and me and my buddy are stumped its picture is very dark and adjustments do not help. When my buddy looked in it he got shocked by the wire going to each of the lamps do you think that would cause a problem with the brightness

This sounds like the vertical output IC has stopped working. If the vertical pulses are missing at the yokes then the picture shuts down to protect the CRT's from being burned by the intense thin white line through the center of the picture. I have seen many of those TDA vertical output IC's fail.
