My toshiba computer wont come on,it says its in power mode

Sleep or standby mode should allow your computer to conserve energy yet respond quickly to power back on when you need it. This will drain any stored power in the backup battery. Wait a few seconds, then put the battery back in, plug in the laptop and press the power button to turn on the computer. It may start up with an error screen; in this case, select the option to start your computer normally. When you boot, you get a menu with "safe mode" as one of the options. Next time you boot, watch the screen closely and wait for that menu. Then using the arrows on your keyboard, scroll down to "repair computer". Further instructions in the link below.

you should probably get a new screen fixed to laptop, because until u log in and system boots up properly, second screen will not work,
as u tried turning of laptop forcefully, advance boot options must be up on computer, hence not displaying.

with the computer off. start by having it plugged in. now press and hold down the 0 (zero) key. while holding it down press and release the power button.. as soon as you see it power up release the 0 (zero) key. this will restore to out of box state. it will take aprox and hour. You wont have to do anything just let it run the restore..

This problem is likely caused by overheating. The CPU reaches a temp to high and shuts the system down. When you try to turn it on the system is still to hot and it will not let the computer power on. You can try blowing out the fans and heat sink with an air compressor or can of compressed air. If this does not help the problem you may need to have thermal compound reapplied. If that does not fix it it will need a new heatsink/fan/

Keep the battery unplugged but make sure you have the power cord still plugged in, and when you see the toshiba screen press F8 i believe or F1. In there you need to change to the boot order so that the CDrom boots first if you want to try and restore from CD

I recently ran into a computer doing this.

Try what jmagnu said, hopefully it will work for you (safe mode didn't help me).

I basically had to remove the hard drive from the computer, install it into another computer and run a ton of virus, malware, spyware scans on the drive.

I used a combination of AVG, superantispyware, malwarebyte's malware remover, hijackthis, ccleaner, and a few others who's names escape me.

Can you tell me if your operating system is Windows XP. when it shows the windows screen is it the "boot up screen" showing and returns to the same thing?
