Iphone doesnt recognise windows contacts list

Alot of times you have to call the company in order to get a special code that will help your iphone or ipod recognize windows on your computer. I had the same problem with my ipod shuffle, it wouldnt let me download songs to it until I called the number from the apple website for technical support. This should get you the help you need 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) and they should be able to give you a code for your computer to help it connect with your iphone.

Unable to play songs on the Alba 512 mb Mp3 Player

Managed to fix it !

Windows XP or any other version had an issue in completely recognising the media player.
Every time I would plug in the MP3 players, Windows would show that a new hardware has been plugged in and try to set-up the drivers. It would also breifly recognise it as being a music player and assign drive E: and F: to it. However every-time I would try and select the E: or the F: drive to inspect its contents Explorer would hang-up and crash.

So I re-did this in MS Dos prompt mode. i.e. for thos who are not familiar do the following :

ClicK Start - Run - and type cmd to bring up the command prompt

then type cd\
and go to the root C:

Plug in the MP3 player and wait for the detection. Once detected on the C:\ prompt

Type Format E:\

Be Very Very Careful that you don't type ***** Format C: ***** otherwise that would be the end of your hard drive and all the data :-)

After the E:/ has finished formatting the control should return back to the C:\ prompt from where you would be able to type E:/ and go the E: drive

Unplug and plug the mp3 player again and now windows should be able to detect the player properly and not hang-up.

You may have just lost all the songs on the mp3 player but now the player is back into life. So start copying your songs and enjoy your player !

Can't transfer videos from JVC GZ MG575AA to my windows XP

I had the same problem, try downloading a file converter such as "prism File Converter" to change your MOD files to JPEG and then import in Windows Movie maker

Doesnt start up

Hi. My Inovix mp3/4 player suffered a similar fate when it crashed during a Firmware reload. The player went completely dead and wasn't even recognised by the computer when plugged into the USB port. I basically kept on trying - a couple of times whenever I used the computer - using different ports. 2 days later - 'ding-dong' - Windows XP suddenly recognised something was in the port, and I tentatively attempted a Firmware reload. Success! (Don't ask me to explain it tho'...)

Sound device

The reason for the message will be the fact that windows doesnt recognise that there is a sound device available because the driver for your sound card or onboard sound is not built into XP and therefore you will have to find out what make of audio you have and install the relevant driver.
