Recording moving images. Sound is not recorded

This is straight from your camera's user manual.

The camera does not have any way to provide sound with the movie clips. This is how the camera was designed by the manufacturer.

appears to be power issue in the camera but you can try the lithium AA batteries that are located in the photo section of your stores... they are more powerful than regular AA batteries or else send to repair shop

To my knowledge, an Olympus FE-170 has no audio recording capability and records the video on 15FPS.

I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. You could bring it to a Geek Squad® precinct in one of our Best Buy™ stores, and an agent can look at the camera and if need be send it out for service.

You checked the obvious, lens cover? (sorry had to ask) any grinding noises when you take a picture or focus\zoom?

hi Are you sure that the exposure setting of your camera is kept in 0 position?.. if it is in +ve compensation the image will get over exposed under normal lighting condition. If exposure is set to 0 , you try to do a factory reset . If this not solving your problem then it must be the problem with the camera firmware,get the new firmware updated from olympus. all the best sreejith
