Instructions on replacing the bulb not the housing

I know how to replace the the housing and the bulb, but it is much cheaper to replace only the bulb. Can you tell me, is the housing difficult to disassemble and then reassemble with the new bulb?

It's not too bad to replace just the bulb but rather more difficult to find just the bulb on it's own. The guys at lumenarc.co.uk should be able to give you just the bulb. As a start, you might want to have a look at this video:

I need to replace the front fog lamp bulb on my 2014 Hyundai i10 1.1. Can anybody tell me how to do this?

Without lift, without dismantling the bumper. You can lie on the ground split. Fog lamp housing with two screws locked, you can start with a wrench 7MM demolition, but it is best to use 7MM sleeve, easy to split the left and right of the difficult demolition, you can remove the bulb to be loaded into.

Philips Mitsubishi WD62525 Lamp with Housing 915P020010 Do I have to buy the housing? Do I need to replace the housoing when I replace the bulb?

The housing is part of the bulb cooling system so it has to be properly mounted to cool

I did a quick look for the bulb and yes you can find bulb only BUT they are $10 to $20 more than the bulb and housing !

So it looks like it is cheaper to replace the bulb and housing. As a guess I would say that these bulbs are what someone has found out to be a replacement but can't purchase then as cheap. So to save yourself some money buy the combo.

How to change frounr head light

Try This....
(WARNING) when handling the new bulbs,DO NOT touch them with your bare hands. The oil from skin will create ahot spot on the bulb and cause it to burn out sooner than it is rated.I touched one that was on and smoke actually came off the bulb! Useeither a cotton glove or I used a clean paper towel to handle the bulb.(tip) If only one low or high beam bulb is out, replace the low or highbeam partner on the other side or you may be doing this again real soon.

1. Drivers Side. This is the easiest to get to. After opening the hood, right behind the lamp housing there are (2) rubber caps. The outsidecap contains the low beam/day running bulb and the inside cap containsthe high beam bulb.
a. Both bulbs are replaced the same way. Remove the rubber cap, thesecaps are soft and pliable but when you grab the edges to pull them off, they feel rigid. This is because the rubber cap is pressed over a hardplastic flange so when you squeeze and pull, it can be difficult toremove. If you can't get a good grip to pull them off -
b. (Tip) There (2) clips on the headlamp housing, one is in plan viewto the left and the other is under the fender just to the right top ofthe housing. It's a little difficult to get to and you may need a flathead screwdriver to pry it up. Pull up on these clips and they willrelease the housing, but you cannot remove it. This will allow you topull the housing out a few inches and you can see the edges of therubber caps.
c. Using a flat head screwdriver, just gently pry the cap, once itstarts coming off you can remove it with your hand. Reach in and grabthe bulb assembly and turn it about ¼ corner turn "counter" clockwiseand it will come out.
d. Remove the power wire harness that is clipped on.
e. Snap the new bulb into the power wire harness (DO NOT TOUCH) the new bulb with your bare hand!
f. Gently place it the bulb assembly back in the housing, turn ¼ turnclockwise, it will snap into place, replace the rubber cap, push thehousing back into place and press the housing clips back down.
g. NOTE: Always put the rubber cap back on, it helps to keep moisture out of the housing.

2. Passenger Side. This is the hardest to get to. Remove the aircleaner cover and filter or you won't be able to reach the back side ofthe housing. The instruction on how to remove these items should be inyour owners manual.

Lamp needs to bereplaced,,,,, tv jvc model 61z886, need to know model of lamp i need and where to buy it

Google "DLP lamp" and you'll get many places from which to order lamps. Go to one of these sites and they should have a search box. Enter your model number and it should give you the part number of your lamp. Try several sites if the first one doesn't give you what you need to know. Once you have your lamp number you can shop the various sites for the best price. Note: You can buy your lamp complete (with the housing it comes in),..... or just the bulb and replace the bad one in the housing (cheaper)..... if you have the skills needed. If not buy it complete with housing. If you change the bulb only,.. don't touch it with your bare hands. Most bulb only packages come with rubber gloves.

How do I replace a 2004 toyota sienna headlight? The bulb I bought at the Napa parts store doesn't seem to fit in properly.

The bulb has to be lined up in the headlamp housing before it will fit properly,is it a 80 dollar bulb?or 8 to 15 dollar bulb?the 9006 bulb, the cheaper one has to be aligned just right,or it will not fit,and it can be difficult to do,but the 80 dollar bulb, just fits one way only.

Headlight - Xenon - on 2003 Saab 9.3. Is this something a handy owner can replace. Also the dealer wants $275.00 for the bulb. Is this really the price?

if that is for one bulb, that's crazy. you can get them much cheaper online. it's not difficult to replace the bulb yourself. the bulbs ususally cost roughly $117 USD each. If the dealer is suggesting they will change the bulbs for both, it's a deal to have them replaced for less than $250 USD. I won't lie, it's a pain in the ****.
