SO MY ASUS X533U, WITH A C60 PROCESSOR, yeah i know.... is having alot of problems. I lost admin rights. it cant find . it wont open anything.. it wont download. all I can do is broswe the internet.

Remove ALL media, DVD, CD, USB, etc. Shut down, unplug, remove battery, Plug in, REBOOT in safe mode with networking, Download Freeware MALWAREBYTES at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
, In the installation, UNCHECK the TRIAL PRO version, you want the freeware version. Run a FULL SCAN, depending on the size of your HDD, it may take hours, DELETE ALL RESULTS. ALSO, with your UP-TO-DATE Anti Virus Run a FULL SCAN.Delete all results, Another freeware program is CCLEANER at: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/, This program will clean the junk from your machine, and in the TOOLS section, STARTUP, disable ALL unnessary startup programs and remove ALL TOOLBARS from your broswers, they are killers on speed and some contain malware. REBOOT. If , after the Malware and Virus scan don't work do a system restore/recovery. Respond to post for further assistance.

Monitor turns on for about ten seconds then the

something like this happened to my comp. once, and it was because my cpu wasn't properly cooled. the fan on the cpu had been disconnected from the power supply. if a cpu gets too heated it can cause a lock-up or reboot, and can eventually damage the cpu. so, that would be the first thing i would check. a virus is also a possibility. if you have virus software try booting from the virus software cd-rom. if you can get into your bios setup by pressing 'delete' during the boot process you can change the boot sequence under one of the options there. put the cd-rom as your first boot device. i use norton's anti-virus, and it allows a scan for viruses before going to the 'desktop'.
of course, if you already have a functional anti-virus program it probably would have caught it without doing any of those steps.
good luck. keep us up-to-date on your situation.

You can download the drivers manually online via the printers website. Also, make sure you have downloaded all the service packs for whichever version of windows you are using.

Flatscreen goes blank and displays the message

Out of range indicates that the refresh rate or resolution is set too high for the monitor to display. I would suggest re booting into safe mode by pressing F8 during boot, before windows begins to load. Select safe mode with networking if you can, and once in safe mode, uninstall the ati display driver from the control panel. Then go to ATI's site and download the latest driver for your card. Save that file to your desktop. Reboot normally, as Windows should load default vga drivers for your card. Once in Windows, install the latest driver you just downloaded. That should reset the resoultion to one that your monitor can display. Good luck:)

Problem During Boot-Up

several things it could be but im going to look at the obvious the battery and cord hook up
laptops when plugged into contstant 120 power the battery is supposed to go into stand by mode and shut battery off so power dont leak into battery
if you have low battery with it plugged into 120 the comp will still think the battery is powering the laptop if battery dead then comp shuts down lack of power

other thing is somehow you caught a virus that reboots comp from dos screen mode
the main thing i always ask is what was the last thing that happened before it did what its doing now
example= was there a power surge pop up screens ect.

Ati2dvag caught in a loop

These kind of problems can be caused by a number of different things, from software to dodgy ram, PSU etc etc. I'll assume you've already done a virus and adware scan-if not, do it now. If that doesn't work, let's start with the easiest to diagnose and fix-the device driver itself. Download the latest version of the Ati catalyst driver from Ati. Uninstall the existing driver(Assuming you're using Windows XP, Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, then find the Ati graphics driver on the list and remove it), remove the grapics cards entries from Device Manager(Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager, then click the cross next to "Display Adaptors", right click and choose "uninstall"), and reboot into safe mode (tap F8 at POST screen). Run drivercleaner in safe mode (you can download it from here): http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/ then reboot, cancel the "Found New Hardware Wizard" which pops up when you restart windows, and run the new driver installation program.
